Tallinn University of Technology Innovation Centre foundation was founded. The aim of the foundation was to prepare the founding of Technology Park by starting first-hand business services and creating business networks. Tallinn University of Technology Innovation Centre foundation created the ground for establishing Tehnopol. Tallinn University of Technology Innovation Centre foundation joined the membership of International Association of Science Parks (IASP).
Enterprise Estonia foundation, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and the city of Tallinn concluded the documentation for establishing the Tallinn Technology Park.
The business plan and founding documents of Tallinn Technology Park were drawn. Tallinn University of Technology Innovation Centre foundation and the city of Tallinn opened a business incubator building for starting companies and business ideas. Four companies started operating in new building.
The Government of Estonia, Tallinn University of Technology and the city of Tallinn founded the Tallinn Technology Park development foundation.

Tallinn Technology Park development foundation started to overtake the assets and buildings. The Park started to operate with the assets. Tehnopol was taken into everyday use as the trademark of Tallinn Technology Park development foundation.
The detail plan of Tehnopol real estate development is approved. According to the detail plan Tehnopol is starting to demolish old buildings and start constructing new ones.
Tehnopol signs construction cooperation contracts with YIT Construction and Astlanda Construction. The contracts define the construction of two new office and laboratory buildings. These two real estate developments will be accomplished in 2012 and add up more than 20 000 square meters of high quality space.
