RSS FEED A Barge Designed by MEC Engineering Bureau was launched in Emajõgi.

A barge designed entirely by a tenant company of Tehnopol, MEC Engineeruing Bureau was launched. A barge named Koidula starts to operate between two islands: Laakssaare and Piirissaare.

The barge is specially designed to operate in shallow water. The body of the barge is only 1 m deep and can take a load up to 45 tons.

MEC Engineering Bureau is operating in Tehnopol from 2002. The main activities of the company are designing sea constructions and making firmness anaysis. Today there are eight highlly qualified engineers working. Most of the clients are from other countries. In addition the company is participating is some EU research and development projects for ship building in order to raise qualification  and innovative mind of its emplyees.
