Today's voting in IASP World Conference Korea resulted that the 2012th International Association of Science Parks (IASP) World Conference will take place in Tallinn Estonia. This conference is expected to attract about 800 leaders of science and technology parks from different countries around the world.
In South Korea Daejeon the IASP 2010th World Conference run the election procedure were the representatives of IASP member parks voted for the next conference venue. The two candidates for organizing the event in 2012 were Tallinn Technology Park Tehnopol and JSC Technology Park in Nizhny Novgorod Russia.
Voting resulted with the majority votes for Tehnopol, bringing the prestigious conference for the first time to Eastern European region.
IASP (International Association of Science Parks) connects about 400 science and technology parks in more than 70 different countries. There are more than 200 000 innovative companies operating in IASP member parks. Tehnopol is a full member of IASP since 2003.
