On 16th of December the builders of the Center of Mechatronics in Tehnopol held the rafter party. Traditional rafter party marks the successful cooperation between architects, designers and builders that has resulted with finalizing the building´s roof.
YIT Ehitus and Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol founded a joint company for building the Center of Mechatronics. The Centre was designed by Luhse and Tuhal, and is built by YIT Ehitus.
„Construction goes according to the plan and August 2012 is realistic estimation of accomplishing the construction," said Marko Kivirand, project manager in YIT Ehitus.
Building of Mechatronic Centre was challenging for builders. „As one separate part of building will be in use for producing high-tech products, so we needed to take into account laboratory and technology producing requirements," said Kivirand. „Mechatronics Centre will get energy mark „C", which means that laboratory and offices are built to be energy efficient".
Today already 70% of the facilities in new building are booked. The main tenants of the building will be Mechatronics Innovation Centre IMECC, Metrosert and Patent Information Centre. In addition to laboratories there are also office spaces, which are suitable for companies that cooperate with mechatronic companies.
