Kuku radio held a survey, where they ranked most perspective IT startups in 2012 and ICT opinion leaders. There were also Tehnopol startup companies ranked as high-potential growers  in 2012.
25 ICT experts participated in survey, who all named three companies and three opinion leaders.

Estonian authoritative opinion leaders in ICT sector were ranked as following:
1. Sten Tamkivi; Skype Estonia Manager
2. Allan Martinson; Entrepreneur (BNS, Microlink, Delfi, Kurat.com), investor (Flirtic.com)
3. Andrei Korobeinik ; Entrepreneur (Rate.ee, Flirtic.com), investor (300.MG), Member of the Parliament of Estonia
4. Linnar Viik, lecturer IT College
5. Taavi Kotkas; Manager and Founder of Webmedia, president of ITL
6. Rain Rannu; Founder of Mobi and Fortumo
7. Jüri Kaljundi; Co-founder of CV, Founder of Talentag, entrepreneur, activist in startup-community
8. Toivo Annus; Skype, Edicy, Ambient Sound Investment
9. Ahti Heinla; Skype, Ambient Sound Investment, "Teeme Ära" initiative
10. Hardi Meybaum; Founder of Grabcad

The high-potential Estonian startups in 2012 were:
1. Zero Turnaround; Spin-off from Webmedia, their product will make Java programming language faster. On 2011 Enetprise Estonia named them „innovator of the year". Founder and Manager is Evgeni Kabanov. Their clients are IBM, Oracle, Lufthansa etc.
2. Grabcad; „Facebook" for Cad engineers, investment of Estonian Development Fund, winner of Seedcamp. Head office is located in Boston, but development is taking place in Tallinn. Founder of Crabcad is Hardi Meybaum.
3. Erply; developer of companies resource management system, winner of Seedcamp, „startup company to watch 2011 by Wall Street Journal". World's famous IT investor, Dave McClure has invested in Erply.
4. Fortumo; One of Tartu's „Silicon Valley" company, spin-off from Mobi. Rain Rannu and Martin Koppel are the founders. Developing a platform for mobile payments that is used in 40 countries. Clients include Roivo, the developer of Angry Birds.
5. Flirtic; matchmaking site for new generation, which founders are Andrei Korobeinik and Andres Susi, Head of Board is Yahoo VP April Henry.
6. Publification; platform for publishing books, one place for creating your e-book, promote, sell and read it. Company participated in Springboard accelerator in London.
7. Transferwise; Skype for currency exchange, Taavet Hinrikus was the founder, who was also the first employee in Skype. Company operates in UK.
8. Fits.me; Virtual fitting room, investment of Estonian Development Fund, Heikki Haldre was the founder.
9. 300.MG; graduate from USA accelerator, put together all information according to your company and put it together to give good overview. Founders are Mark Kofman and Anton Litvinenko.
10. Creative Mobile; Estonian company that created world's most popular mobile car game, which has 25 million downloads in Android and iOS platforms.
