Join us at the final event of project Springboard already this Thursday!


Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol, together with project partners, is inviting you to take part of the Final Event of the EU Interreg Central Baltic programme project Central Baltic Startup Springboard!

Date: September 28, 2017.

Time: 2 PM – 10 PM

Venue: Erinevate Tubade Klubi, Telliskivi 60-A1, Tallinn, 4th floor

The Final Event will concentrate on project’s achievements, best practises, experiences and lessons learned.

Keynote speaker Sten Tamkivi will give an inspirational speech on making internation teams truly work together, remote teamwork challenges, building up a winner global team and future of remote working and crossborder collaboration. Sten is a tech entrepreneur since 1996, most recently founded Teleport while in residence at Andreessen Horowitz. After founding a few companies in Estonia, he joined a startup called Skype as an early executive. Ran the original R&D office and held several global product leadership roles for 8+ years. 

We are also going to have a panel discussion about startups intertantonal cooperation with top notch business experts and startups: the CEO of Science Park Tehnopol Jaak Raie, creator of project Springboard Marko PuhtilaPia Edman from Taiko, Ville Nikiola from Grail Group,  Jorma Jürisaar from Weps, Akmalidin Alimov, from and Aleksandrs Švaikovs, from OROCON.

Best of Springboard programmes’ teams will pitch and present themselves, talk about what they succeeded and failed in and how did crossborder collaboration help with their idea or company.

After the formal part of the event is over, be ready for some laughter with Comedy Estonia, good music by Pop Idiot and lots of networking!

About Central Baltic Startup Springboard

Central Baltic Startup Springboard supports the development of new startups in Turku, Tallinn and Riga and their cross-border collaboration. Springboard provides a supported path towards entrepreneurship by implementing three joint 10-week business acceleration programs and coaching for the most potential teams. Targeted B2B matchmaking activities will also be organised in order to support already established early-stage companies.

By combining expertise across borders, it is easier to find potential business ideas and to establish globally competitive joint teams with versatile know-how and experience. The main result of the Springboard project is an increased capacity to produce international startups in the Central Baltic region. The Springboard will achieve 15 new joint or co-operating knowledge intensive Central Baltic companies aiming for rapid growth.
