Negotiations and Value Proposal in Biotechnology
Eskil Söderlind of Avena Partners (Sweden) has extensive experience in biotechnology entrepreneurship. Participants of the seminar get to learn from his practical experience on how to prepare for the negotiations, what to keep in mind during the process and how to reach a successful deal. The seminar is targeted at SMEs in biotechnology and related fields, as well as for researchers who plan to or are already involved in the industry.

Eskil Söderlind has more than 25 years of experience from the life science business area. He has been instrumental in the incorporation of more than 10 different companies and has past and present experience as a Scientist, Inventor, Investment Director, and as a CEO and a board member.
He has broad experience from activities related to Technology Transfer Organizations (TTO), where invention and results are transferred from Academia into an industrial setting. Examples of established companies where Eskil has been instrumental in their foundation are Alligator (www.alligatorbioscience.com), BioInvent (www.bioinvent.com), Cantargia (www.cantargia.com), Merozyne (www.merozyne.se) and Follicum (www.follicum.com).
He has cofounded the company Colzyx ( www.colzyx.com ) in January 2016. In November 2016 the company concluded a research and licensing deal with an undisclosed major global med-tech company. Thus, from start of the copmany to the closed deal took some 10 months. Eskil is the CEO of Colzyx.
bulb Intelligence AB (bulbintelligence.com) was also cofounded by Eskil. bulb is a competitive intelligence company that provides intelligence services primarily in the life science area.
He is author of several scientific publications focusing on protein and antibody engineering, and also named inventor on several commercially successful patent families. He also co-authored the first textbook in the area of virtual business operations entitled “Virtual Business Formats. Entrepreneurial Risk and Rewards” , published by Elsevier.
