Smart City seminar in Tallinn – Clever Solutions in Smart City

Smart City seminar – “Clever solutions in Smart City” focuses on smart solutions implemented in European and Estonian cities and offered by the solution providers.

This seminar is a great chance for city representatives to learn from their peers’ experiences, receive information about latest solutions and have a discussion with Smart City solution providers. The companies are welcome to the seminar to learn the problems that cities face and find possible cooperation options with the cities. The event end with the opening ceremony of the Green Room located in the Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol’s campus.

Kaimo Käärmann-Liive, konsultant Eesti Linnade Liidus. Osalenud mitmete seaduste väljatöötamisel ja omavalitsustele IKT lahenduste planeerimisel, koordineerinud väliskoostööd linnade liidus üle 10 aasta.

 

 

Ivari Rannama, Geomaatika teenistuse direktor. Tallinna Linnaplaneerimise Ametist on omandanud Bsc kraadi Tartu Ülikoolis Geoinformaatika ja kartograafia erialal. Töötanud üle kaheteistkümne aasta avalikus sektori geoinformaatika ja geomaatika valdkonnas. Osalenud Tallinna ruumiandmete registri ja planeeringute registri tarkvaralahenduste väljatöötamisel ja juurutamisel.

 

 

Roope Ritvos is Director of new initiatives at Forum Virium Helsinki. Forum Virium Helsinki is the public-private collaboration platform for smart city activites in Helsinki. It provides a "living lab" for design, development and up-take of new innovations and technologies. Ritvos has set up projects experimenting with internet of things, robotics and data in solving Helsinki City's needs in mobility, healthcare and construction. Initiatives he has set up include for example Smart Kalasatama, FinEst Smart Mobility and Helsinki's EU Smart City Lighthouse project. Ritvos has been working also with several collaboration projects between Helsinki and Estonian organisations. Before Forum Virium he has worked in game startups, Aalto university and regional innovation agency Culminatum. More information about Forum Virium can be found at http://www.forumvirium.fi/

Greenroom was built in cooperation between Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol and PAKRI Science and Industrial Park to provide companies developing smart green technology solutions with a place to test and demo their products. Greenroom is open to all interested companies as a demo room. In addition, it is possible to book the room for meetings and as short-term office space via Tehnopol’s webpage. The Greenroom opening will finish the Smart City Seminar at 12.30. The companies currently testing their products in the Greenroom will intorduce their solutions: Zeroliving, Smartel, Aiotex, Sol navitas, Enwisen, Saviukumaja, Naps Solar Estonia, Martem, Tuge Energia.
