Digital Society for Health\u201c will focus on how digital technologies and wider use of health data are changing our lives and the ways of healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n The conference will show already existing digital health solutions, use-cases and technologies to demonstrate that value-adding citizen-centric health services and systems are the reality and the future has already arrived to be made available to all Europeans.<\/p>\n The conference will provide a real world experience about the state-of-the-art situation on digital health solutions and how it will affect the everyday experience of citizens, businesses, researchers, health systems and societies overall.<\/p>\n Tallinn will bring you the latest developments in three hot topics:<\/p>\n Building citizen-driven demand in eHealth Giving citizens access and more control over the use of their health data The conference will include three days of activities realated to eHealth developmenents \u2013 meetings and sessions run by the Presidency, the European Commission and external non-governmental partners, national sessions focusing on specific countries or regions, business oriented sessions for B2B and matchmaking and an exhibition area showcasing practical examples.<\/p>\n The conference will bring together the EU policymakers and Member State ministers responsible for health, patient organization representatives, national and international IT and healthcare companies, health professionals, healthcare managers, and the R&D sector. It creates an opportunity for the decision makers and stakeholders to learn about most recent policy and technological developments and to be part of the discussions to shape the roadmap of actions under Digital Single Market strategy in order to achieve full benefits of digital health at the individual and societal level.<\/p>\n In order to achieve and maintain the results stakeholders\u2019 engagement, including patients, entrepreneurs, healthcare service providers, professionals, researchers, \u00a0is considered crucial. For this purpose the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia and ECHAlliance have launched the Digital Health Society (DHS) Declaration, as a call for actions about the strategies and actions to achieve the digital transformation of healthcare systems. This grass-root initiative is developed collectively with the EU key stakeholders representing policy-makers, citizens, health professionals, scientists, companies and payers. The DHS Declaration will be officially presented and signed during the eHealth conference in Tallinn, and it will also be the support document for EU council recommendations to be published in December 2017.<\/p>\n Further information and a detailed agenda of the conference will be made available in due course.<\/p>\n \u201eHealth in the Digital Society.
