Tehnopol Startup Incubator invites creative industry teams and early-stage startups to apply for the six-month Film and Multimedia Accelerator. Participation is free of charge, and applications are open until March 4.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Film and Multimedia Accelerator\u2019s program manager Olga Kurdovskaja<\/strong> (on photo), said that the accelerator offers both creative professionals and technology teams an opportunity to take their ideas to the next level. \u201cThe film and multimedia industry today is global, fast-growing, and full of potential, yet innovation and technology are not yet widely adopted in this field. This opens up many exciting opportunities for creatives, technology enthusiasts, and startup founders,\u201d Kurdovskaja said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accelerator operating under Tehnopol Startup Incubator brings together industry professionals and early-stage teams. The six-month program focuses on developing digital solutions that support the film and multimedia sector, including virtual and augmented reality as well as storytelling platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program offers participants structured support and consulting, along with the opportunity to develop their product or service under the guidance of experienced mentors. Each selected team is assigned a key mentor for the duration of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is an inspiring and practical accelerator designed to help participants reach market readiness faster and attract their first investment. This year\u2019s incubation program is more mature than before, as we have taken into account the results of the pilot year as well as experience from previous seasons. I\u2019m confident that collaboration between teams and mentors will give projects a real boost,\u201d added program manager Olga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Film and Multimedia Accelerator program lasts six months, with the possibility to extend participation by an additional six months if results are strong. Startups or at least two-member teams are invited to apply, provided they already have a business idea and an early version or prototype of a product or service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the second year in a row, the accelerator is supported by an eight-member advisory board composed of top experts. Startup founder and returning advisory board member Maarit M\u00e4eveer-Eller <\/strong>noted that the film and multimedia sector offers significantly greater growth potential than is often assumed. \u201cFrom personal experience, I know how challenging this journey can be, but I see that investors increasingly recognise the market potential and international reach of the sector, and their readiness to invest is growing,\u201d M\u00e4eveer-Eller encouraged teams to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications to the Film and Multimedia Accelerator are open until March 4<\/strong> via the Tehnopol Startup Incubator website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurdovskaja also added that individuals and teams interested in the field who do not yet have a clear idea are welcome to participate in the intensive TECH bootcamp, which provides initial practical knowledge and focuses on idea development. The program takes place on March 4\u20135<\/strong> at kood\/J\u00f5hvi. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration via Tehnopol website<\/a> is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Film and Multimedia Accelerator is part of the innovation centre IDA Hub<\/a>, founded by IVEK, IVIA, and Tehnopol. The innovation centre, scheduled to be completed in autumn, aims to support the development of film talent and forward-looking innovators, while helping to revitalise and diversify the economy of the Ida-Viru region. The multi-purpose centre will include film studios as well as a digital and multimedia incubator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activities of the Film and Multimedia Accelerator are supported by the European Union.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
