The Scale-up Champions consortium will carry\nout a challenge-based selection process to identify the best startups among all\nthe applicants. The chosen ones will then be matched and provided mentoring\nsessions, followed by a series of workshops and individual meetings with\nexperts. Once the startups are well-prepared and fully equipped to raise\ninvestment, they will be brought together with investors, <a>business\nangels and venture capitalists <\/a>to pitch their ideas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are very glad\nto launch this call\u201d, said Anna Torz, Scale-up Champions coordinator. \u201cDuring\nthe Program, entrepreneurs will not only have the chance to improve their\nskills to raise funding, but also to become part of an international network of\nstakeholders and key players from the European startup ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be four editions of the\nInvestment Readiness Program by 2022, the first and current one will be running\nfrom November 2020 to April 2021 and will involve between 25 and 35 different\nstartups that will receive mentoring and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the\nInvestment Readiness Program, Scale-up Champions is also developing the\nStartup- Corporate Collaboration Program and the Pan-European Online Incubation\nProgram. The first one aims to identify corporate challenges, to later connect\nthese organisations with startups developing disruptive technologies that could\nprovide solutions to overcome them. Furthermore, this program intends to raise\nawareness about the potential of innovation and to establish a ground-breaking\nmindset in corporations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the Pan-European Online\nIncubation Program connects top-notch founders, mentors, investors, and\ncorporates with deep tech startups and entrepreneurs, serving as matchmaker,\nand enabler of knowledge transfer through mentoring, workshops, and pilots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Scale-up Champions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Scale-up\nChampions is a project funded by the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and\ninnovation programme with the aim to scale-up innovative businesses across the\nEU and help startups to achieve market success.
