A new business building to open at the campus in autumn 2022

What were the highlights of 2021 in Tehnopol’s real estate field and what will this year bring? Let’s take a look with our real estate manager Tarmo Loog.

Development works in several buildings

Each year, we try to make the companies located in our campus as comfortable as possible and we hope that new tenants also find us. In 2021, several companies that have been with us for years, moved to bigger premises in the campus. 10Lines, Krakul and Eurowag are just some examples.

We renewed the lighting in some general areas in the campus and this contributed to making the buildings’ energy efficiency better. We refreshed the façade of Teaduspargi 3/1 and the building in the courtyard of Mäealuse 4 received a heated roofing. There are some good news for those who use the conference and seminar rooms in the campus – the technical possibilities of these rooms were improved so it’s easier to hold online meetings now.

In addition, we fixed up the campus territory (roads, squares, etc) and we carried out a procurement to find cooperation partner that would take care of our premises. This year we will announce an architecture competition that is related to both Tehnopol’s and TalTech’s campuses, so keep an eye on our website.

We welcomed newcomers

Those who work in the campus or visit our campus frequently, have probably noticed that we have a new diner called Nuudel (located at Akadeemia tee 21/2). Nuudel offers exotic and spicy dishes. In addition, we have Pannkoogimaja (Akadeemia tee 21/1) that serves a variety of pancakes, Pizzakiosk (Akadeemia tee 21/6) for those who love a good pizza and Lõunarestoran Mets (Mäealuse 2/1) and Helios Söögituba (Teaduspargi 6/1), both of them have different lunch offers every day.

A new business building offers even more spaces

In 2021, Astlanda construction company worked hard to build a new business building at the campus and the construction works are still ongoing. A brand new building will be ready for new tenants in autumn 2022. There will also be a large coworking space in that building.

Another new building that is currently under construction is the Mustamäe state high school that is located near Akadeemia tee. The construction works of the state high school should finish in 2023.
