Find your own people in the startup world that you want to grow your ideas with
No idea can grow without the right team! A large number of startups fail not because they do not have a good idea or the right technology, but because the right people do not meet each other at the right time.
Startup Matchmaking was first set up because of very practical needs. Our team has worked over the years with hundreds of founders, ideas and early-stage startups and has seen the same issues arise again and again
where can I find a co-founder who will really contribute?
how can I find the technical and business people who can help the company develop further?
We equally know that there are a lot of excellent specialists and engineers within the ecosystem who do not have their own idea for a startup but who have the ambition and desire to create something new. The problem is not that there is a lack of interest, but that the right people do not meet each other at the right time in the right setting.
Startup Matchmaking works to bring these different parties together.
Startup Matchmaking is a focused meeting space that has been succeeding for a long time, where teams are created, co-founders work together, and the first chapters of the next startup success stories are written.
Who is this for?
Startup Matchmaking is for you if you are a founder or if you have a technical solution in its early stage and you want to strengthen your team with people in one or more key roles such as CTO, developer, technical co-founder, marketer, sales manager or business development manager.
It is also for you if you are a specialist wanting to join the technical, commercial or marketing side of a startup or are considering becoming a co-founder and are looking for ideas and a team that have real potential for growth.
Matchmaking is open to people with a lot of experience and to those who are still taking their first steps in the world of startups.
How does matchmaking work?
Startup Matchmaking is not a one-off event. We constantly bring together people with interesting profiles and introduce suitable people and teams even outside of events.
We also organise two structured Startup Matchmaking events each year where introductions can be made in a standardised setting with pre-vetting. The dates for these will be announced soon.
Startup Matchmaking is a structured format where the meetings are based on matching suitable roles, needs and profiles, not on making random contacts.
It is different to networking because:
the meetings are arranged in advance and are personally tailored
the participants have clearly defined roles and expectations
the focus is on identifying cooperation, not simply on making introductions
The goal is not just to make contacts, but to help create startup teams that really work.
The evening starts with a short presentation of the founders, where they explain their idea, their stage of development, and the roles they want to fill.
Then there are structured meetings in two stages:
pre-selected one-to-one meetings to an individual schedule
a more open discussion set in role-based zones
Discussions can then continue at the end of the evening between people who have made a strong connection.
The meetings follow a speed-dating format where each discussion lasts around 10 minutes and is followed by an exchange of discussion partners that takes two or three minutes.
This makes it possible to meet about 5-8 people during a session of 60-90 minutes.
It is best to come knowing the roles and your expectations as clearly as possible. If you are looking for a co-founder, you should be ready to discuss contributions, risks and responsibilities. The more detailed the profile, the better the possible match.
Startup Matchmaking events are held twice a year, and the next dates will be announced soon.
Register your profile so that you can be among the first to be invited.
