Film and Multimedia Accelerator
An accelerator programme that supports the rise of technology-driven startups at the IDA Hub Film and Multimedia Innovation Centre
The Film and Multimedia Accelerator is for you if you are developing a technology-based product for the film, media, entertainment or creative industries.
Your solution can be related to AI, audio, video, media, advertising, content creation, production or any other creative field. It does not have to be designed specifically for the film industry.
Over six months, we help you better understand your customer and market, validate your product with real users, and define a clear value proposition and business model. We work with you on marketing, sales and storytelling, finance and legal matters, and help you prepare for raising investment.
Through Tehnopol and IDA Hub, you gain access to industry companies, potential customers, partners and investors. These connections give you opportunities to validate your solution in the real market and can lead to collaborations and pilot projects.
Our goal is to help you bring your product to market faster.
After completing the six-month programme, you can continue in the ScaleUp growth programme, which focuses on growth, raising investment and entering international markets.
Participation in the programme is free of charge, and Tehnopol receives a 2% equity option. This means our interests are aligned: as you grow, we grow together.
The activities of the Tehnopol Film & Multimedia Accelerator are funded by the European Union.

On completing the programme you will have

To join the growth programme you need
- a scalable technology-based product or solution
- a motivated team of at least two people who are ready to actively work on developing the company
- an MVP or working prototype to further develop and validate with customers
- the ambition and drive to take your idea to the world
- a company registered in Estonia

To apply, you must have a technology-based solution, a committed team, and an MVP or working prototype. The company must be registered in Estonia and must not be in financial difficulty.
No direct financial support is provided to companies. The programme is worth approximately €10,000 and includes training, mentoring and support for business development. The best teams also get the opportunity to showcase their companies at major conferences and industry events, such as sTARTUp Day, Latitude59, Jõhvi Film Day and PÖFF Industry. The programme is implemented with the support of the European Union.
Participation in the programme and use of the workspace are free of charge. Tehnopol receives a 2% equity option, so our interests are aligned: as you grow, we grow together.
Programme training sessions take place a few times a month in person in Ida-Viru County. Meetings with mentors take place regularly, generally online, with schedules agreed between the mentor and the team.
Training sessions and events are primarily in English, with some exceptions in Estonian.
