Nearly 500 fierce ideas were presented to Prototron

Last week the deadline for applications for the Smart Ideas Fund Prototron expired. Each round has brought record numbers, but this time the number of fierce ideas reached a magical 500.

Such a large number of applications is due to the growth of Prototron in Latvia and shows that people are looking for new solutions during the crisis. “I am extremely pleased that the Prototron Support Fund is growing and we can give impetus to more and more innovative ideas,” said Jana Budkovskaja, CEO of Prototron.

This Autumn’s round is also significant for Prototron in that coModule has joined as a mentor and financier – the team that received funding from Prototron’s first application round, which has successfully launched Tuul’s electric scooters to the market today; and technology company Microsoft. A total of 120,000 euros will be distributed to the teams.

The winners of the current round will be announced on January 29, 2021, at the sTARTUpDay festival.
