Come and support your favourite at PowerUp2018! Estonian Final tomorrow!

PowerUp! 2018 Estonian Final will take place already tomorrow on the 9th of May at Club of Different Rooms! PowerUp! by EIT InnoEnergy is a competition for startups with energy, cleantech, mobility, cybersecurity and smart city solutions. PowerUp! 2018 is the 4th edition of the competition and organized in 24 Central & Eastern European countries.

Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol as Innoenergy’s Estonian HUB is organizing the Country Final in Estonia on the 9th of May at Club of Different Rooms. We’ll have 10 startups pitching and the winner will be invited to the Grand Final in Prague on 19th of June to represent Estonia’s best energy startup. 

The winner of PowerUp! 2018 will receive: 

  • Financial awards for three best projects: 30 000€ for first place, 10 000€ for second place & 5 000€ for third place

The event is hosted by the one and only Estonian comedy king Louis Zezeran! He is one of the founders of Comedy Estonia and has a background in Computer Science, which he combines with comedy experience to provide presentation coaching, helping companies refine their message and deliver a fantastic talk.

The keynote speaker is Kristjan Kangro, who has despite of his young age a lot of experience as an entrepreneur – he is the Founder and CEO of Change, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency-enabled consumer finance platforms. Recently Kristjan led a community-driven token sale which raised $17.5 million USD through cryptocurrencies, and is now leading the team at Change to deliver on their promise of truly decentralised finance. He also enjoys mentoring young start-ups and fostering Singapore and Estonias entrepreneur community.
