FINESTJAPAN

Project aims to create for Finnish and Estonian SMEs new business deals in Japanese markets.

As the world’s third-largest economy, Japan is at the forefront of embracing green technologies, driven by its commitment to sustainability and innovation. With a population of approximately 125 million, Japan presents a significant market opportunity.

The FINESTJAPAN initiative aims to strengthen the ties between Finland, Estonia, and Japan by fostering new export opportunities in the green technology sector. By connecting dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Finland and Estonia with Japanese markets, we focus on transformative areas such as low carbon energy, energy efficiency and storage, green construction, and smart technologies. Together, we can drive sustainable growth and lead the way toward a greener future.

Expected result

Project aims to create for Finnish and Estonian SMEs new business deals in Japanese markets. A secondary target is to introduce marketing or organizational innovation aiming at the Japanese market, such as to apply new marketing approaches. The SMEs will also gain knowledge of the Japanese business culture and obtain visibility in Japan together with other participating companies in the project.
