Tehnopol participates in P4SME project to promote sustainability

Science and business park Tehnopol is in collaboration with FUNDECYT Science and Technology
Park of Extremadura in Spain and Johanneberg Science Park in Sweden in the P4SME* project. The aim of the project is to improve the support in terms of sustainability that European Science and Technology Parks, incubators, innovation agencies or similar organisations provide to their tenants and clients.

The transition to a sustainable society requires a strong economy. Here, small and medium-sized businesses are an important driver. In this project, the participants’ support for small and medium-sized enterprises will be improved by integrating sustainability into business strategies.

The project partners share good practices, tools and initiatives that address the three dimensions of sustainability (social, environmental, economic) with the support of relevant European external experts. Peer-learning activities are applied to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer.

The results are gathered in a so-called “Design Options Paper” and will be disseminated among international networks whose members provide support services to small and medium-sized enterprises and among relevant stakeholders and authorities at all levels.

By doing so, all organizations working with small and medium-sized enterprises can increase the quality of their sustainability support and contribute to the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in their circles.
