The Cyber Accelerator

The Cyber Accelerator is a seven-month programme for teams working on early-stage cybersecurity that want to turn their idea into a functioning product or service, and get close to their first clients and be ready for growth. The teams that are chosen will be given practical support in developing their products and their business, help from experienced mentors, and a cash injection of up to 60,000 euros.

Cyber risks are growing fast and are increasingly impacting people, businesses and the public sector. Digitalisation, artificial intelligence and new technologies all offer new opportunities, but also come with new and complicated security risks. This means that smart, scalable and market-ready cybersecurity solutions are needed more than ever before.

The Cyber Accelerator helps teams in the early stage move their ideas forward so that they have a clear value proposal, a validated business model, and a solution that actually works. The programme will help the teams understand product development, the market and the needs of clients, and support them in designing their business model and in preparing to go to market with what they have made.

The Cyber Accelerator is looking for teams of students, researchers, startup companies, and spin-offs from SMEs.

Any and all ideas for cybersecurity products and services are welcome to apply to the accelerator. Preference is given to solutions in the priority areas of development of the Information System Authority

• use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity
• security of artificial intelligence
• post-quantum cryptography
• automation of cybersecurity processes
• analysis and forecasting of information about threats
• other important future technologies

A particular focus this year is on solutions that can help tackle fraud, phishing and social manipulation.

Applications for the Cyber Accelerator are open until 21 June. Up to six teams will be accepted. The programme starts in September and lasts for seven months.
