HealthTech Matchmaking: Businesses and Scientists Team Up for HealthTech Breakthroughs

On January 24th, a cooperation day between businesses and scientists operating in the field of health technology will be held in Tartu (Kastani 42, Tartu).

The biggest part of the day will focus on 1:1 discussions between entrepreneurs and researchers, so that they can introduce their problems and field of study to see, if there is a chance for cooperation in the future.

Event will be hosted by Relika Alliksaar-Williams from University of Tartu at Armastuse saal in Aparaaditehas (Kastani 42, 50410 Tartu). The entrance is in the courtyard of Aparaaditehas, door nr 6 (and then first door on your right).

Event focus areas:
– Biomedicine and biomedical technologies
– Interdisciplinary research and development for the creation of innovative health technologies and services
– Data-based and information technology solutions in health technologies and services
– Development of human-centered and human-inclusive health technologies and services, including solutions regarding health promotion and prevention, health behavior and a person’s comprehensive health and treatment journey

15:20 Round 1: Showcasing unused opportunities and unsolved challenges and concretizing them. Short speeches in free format
Exact format of this session will be defined by final number of participants. We kindly ask both researchers and entrepreneurs to be ready to discuss freely about their activities

17:00 Round 2: Matching challenges and solutions. Lengthier and more detailed conversations based on problem-solution fits made in Round 1
17:45 Conclusion and closing of event

NB! The event will take place in Estonian, but researchers and entrepreneurs, who speak only English will also find suitable discussion partners (translations possible).
