The Interreg project Health3-2-1 is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the life sciences sector operating in Estonia, Finland, and Sweden, supporting their export expansion to the United Kingdom (London) and the East Coast of the USA (Massachusetts and/or the Washington metropolitan area).
The project supports companies in the fields of medical technology, health technology, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology that fall within the EU-defined SME category.
Participation criteria include having a market-tested innovative product/service, sufficient resources to carry out export activities outside the EU, including adequate revenue, employees, and other necessary resources.
The project duration is three years (2024-2027), and the selected companies will receive support totalling nearly 20,000 euros.
Throughout the project, companies will be offered thematic seminars and trainings conducted by experts from the target countries. Topics will include regulatory, assessment, and validation systems in the target country; reimbursement processes; procurement and funding opportunities; market entry strategies; and sales preparation. Additionally, participants will receive up to 10 hours of personalized mentorship based on their company’s needs.
The project includes up to three supported business visits to the target country, with organized meetings with potential clients and/or partners. Furthermore, post-project support from partners and mentors will be provided.
The ultimate goal of Health3-2-1 is to achieve sales transactions in the target country for at least 15 companies.
